HIS Rice Reaches Tohoku Disaster Victims
Local student volunteers (pictured below right) distributed PET bottles of rice to 85 households in the town of Watari, Miyagi. The photo at left shows some of the recipients of the rice. HIS students and families were the major contributors, providing 77 of the 2-liter bottles. If you look closely enough at the bottles, you can just make out a proud ‘HIS’ on some of the bottles. We will have future opportunities to contribute to Tohoku through such rice drives. Please look out for announcements about future rice drives. Thanks!
