Boarding
Boarding at HIS
Welcome to Hokkaido International School and your home away from home. The dorm parents, staff and teachers are committed to providing you with a supportive living experience over the time that you are learning at HIS.
In response to the growing popularity of our boarding program, in 2017 ~ 18, the Executive Board approved and oversaw the construction of a major extension to the on campus dormitory.
With a new capacity of 40 students (20 girls, 20 boys), we currently anticipate spaces for the 2023 - 2024 school year, however, we would encourage you to apply early in 2023, since we could see wait lists. Our boarding program is open to students in grades 7-12.
Boarding Program Mission
Our boarding program mission is to provide students with a healthy and supportive environment. We provide a safe, family-like atmosphere so our residents may reach their potential.
We count on your cooperation and commitments to:
- Your Education
- Your HIS Community
- Your Dorm Community
- Your Dorm Parents
All are essential as we all work toward an excellent year in the dorm and at school.
