The Western Association of Schools and Colleges

Welcome to the HIS Dormitory

Welcome to Hokkaido International School and your home away from home. The dorm parents, staff and teachers are committed to providing you with a supportive living experience over the time that you are learning at HIS.

In response to the growing popularity of our dormitory program, in 2017 ~ 18, the Executive Board approved and oversaw the construction of a major extension to the on campus dormitory. The New dormitory facilities open to female dormitory students in August of 2018.

With a new capacity of 40 students (20 girls, 20 boys), we anticipate spaces for the 2018 ~ 19 school year, however, we would encourage you to apply early in 2019 for the 2019 ~ 2020 school year as we anticipate wait lists.

All are essential as we all work toward an excellent year in the dorm and at school.
