2026 Summer Program @ Hokkaido International School - Niseko Campus

Welcome to HIS Niseko Summer Program - A Celebration of Nature in Beautiful Niseko!

Hokkaido International School Niseko is pleased to announce a one-week Summer Program, to be held the week of June 22 - June 26, 2026. This is early Hokkaido summer and we will explore the natural beauty of our community throughout the week. We have an exciting menu of learning activities this year including river rafting, hiking, tree-trekking and more. Our curriculum aligns with place-based practices to honor and embrace the unique nature, culture, and history of the surrounding area. Please join us for a summer of fun!

An Overview of the Week

Niseko is home to beautiful mountains, sparkling waterways, and expansive farmland. Students will explore this outdoor classroom through nature hikes, rafting on the Shiribetsu River, and exploring the volcanic landscape near Lake Toya. Students will spend time on our school campus and participate in daily excursions to local forests and sites throughout the week.

We will spend plenty of time outdoors, so program attendees should be comfortable with spending extended periods of time outside. Students will have plenty of chances to cool off as well while working on projects in our air-conditioned classrooms.
