It has been another productive week in the Mp3 classroom:
Literacy
With partners, students moved around the room to the various editing stations for their second essays. We wrote final drafts and moved into our final literary essay of the year: compare and contrast. We launched this section of the unit by ‘strengthening our compare and contrast muscles,’ looked at grade-level exemplar texts, and worked on making comparisons beyond surface level.
IPC
We continue our “they made a difference” unit, this week. Linking to our literacy and comparing and contrasting leaders of the past and present. We looked at the problems leaders faced, the way they communicated, and their successes and failures. The Jacinda Arden presentation by our classmate Mia was an especially big hit.
Have a wonderful weekend,
