Exploring properties of light

We have been introducing the children to our overhead projector and helping them notice how it reflects images.  The children are learning to notice which materials are translucent and which ones are not.  They are also exploring the concept of beauty and talking about what they think is beautiful and why.  Developing a sense of aesthetics is an important part of any Reggio-inspired program as we strive to develop the children's sensitivity to what one can communicate through visual arts and other artistic and creative languages.
