AP Human Geography class field trip

AP Human Geography students visited Harukichi Farms to see how the concepts they learned in class related to organic farming are put into action by a local Hokkaido farmer. In addition to seeing how the farm utilized food waste products to use as natural fertilizers and pesticides, they learned more about the challenges of organic farmers in Japan, where the demand for organic food is still very low.
