From the Principal’s Office 3/5

Spring Break
Hard to believe it, but Spring Break is only just over a week away! While of course, everyone should take this opportunity to enjoy themselves with their friends and family, I also encourage students to use this time productively to catch up on semester school work as required. Please speak to your class teachers in advance to prioritize any missed assignments in order of importance.

MAP Testing
Students in grade 4 to grade 10 are scheduled to take MAP Tests directly following Spring Break (March 22-April 2). Viewed in combination with MAP test results back in the Fall, we will be provided with valuable information about student proficiency and progress this school year. Parents will receive a detailed NWEA report in May.

AP Testing
The College Board has revised its test dates for this year.  As a result, many of our exams will be taken online from home (as was the case for many students last year as well).
I will be releasing the new test schedule to students shortly after some consultation with AP class teachers this week.

Reporting Student Absences
If your child in EY to grade 12 is going to absent or late, please inform the school office at 011-816-5000 or email office@his.ac.jp by 8:45 am.
Students are not permitted to report their own absences. Notification must to come directly from an adult legal guardian.
Thank you!
