Grade 2 Math Superstars!Grade 2 Math Superstars!

Students in Grade 2 Math have been busily working through our latest unit of study: multiplying and dividing. We have been learning about how multiplication is connected to repeated addition and counting groups of equal objects. In the photos, you can see our young mathematicians looking at equal groupings of different classroom objects to determine the product. In addition, there are some photos of our starter activity on Tuesdays, which is called, “Tell Me the Number Sentence” and has the students write number sentences which equal the chosen value in the center cloud. This helps us make connections between the different operations and gives us a chance to be creative when crafting our number sentences.
