HS Art: A Contemporary Reimagining of a Japanese Tradition 4/17

 The high school art students took a look at some traditional techniques used to create lanterns for the annual Aomori Nebuta Festival. Using metal wire, string, glue, paper, and L.E.D lights, the students created their contemporary versions of the Japanese lanterns.
