Students in MP2 have been learning all about fairy tales in Reader’s and Writer’s Workshop. We were excited to have the chance to once again connect with our reading buddies in the Early Years class to share a fairy tale that the students chose. The rich interactions between the two classes demonstrate just how powerful of a learning experience this arrangement has been. We are looking forward to sharing more stories with our reading buddies later in the school year!

This year, the Sapporo campus of Hokkaido International School restarted its Summer Program for students. Over the course of four weeks, students explored different topics connected to Hokkaido: the history, landforms, waterways, and finally Hokkaido’s abundant wildlife.
Hokkaido International School presents...our first annual literacy celebration. Honor 16 defenders of reading and 18 creative short story writers.
On May 30, 2023, the elementary Huskies displayed their rediscovery of morals through the literary medium of fables in skits, presented in the second to last elementary assembly of the school year.
On June 15th, 2023, Hokkaido International School opened its doors to the community to celebrate the graduation of 17 Huskies. Students, Teachers, Parents, Alumni, and even former Classmates celebrated the next steps of the Class of 2023.
