“Wellness” at HIS

At HIS, we encourage students to work with their maximum effort, whether it be in math, English, or even physical education. However, we understand that the workload can be burdening sometimes, so the extracurricular activities we offer at our school are a way for students to relax and calm down in their evenings after a long and tiring day of school. With wellness being one of our core pillars, we hope that the students can enjoy themselves to the fullest!

Community Volleyball

Community volleyball has been a student favorite for quite some time now, consistently averaging a number of 20 students every time it is held. Coach Bossaer has been teaching volleyball for quite some time now, and we cannot thank him enough for everything he has done for the school varsity volleyball teams and the community, almost every time staying as long as he can to allow the students to play for longer hours. 

The Introduction of the Running Club 

One of the newer clubs at our school is the running club, which is led by Mr Sim who is teaching some younger students at HIS. Nature is one of Hokkaido’s defining features, and since the snow has started to clear up, it is the perfect time to get some fresh air and some good cardio in. 

To wrap up, we hope the students are excited for the latest and final sports season for this month and to continue to grow and improve their wellness, here at HIS.
