January is a time for renewal for people all around the world, but for those in Hokkaido, the renewal comes through experiencing fresh snow. Join our high school Huskies on the slopes of Kokusai: Skiing, Boarding, Snow Shoeing!
High School Kokusai White Days
From January 20 to January 21, 2025, the high school students of HIS embarked on a two-day skiing adventure at the Kokusai Ski Resort in Sapporo, marking their annual winter activity.
In this snow-blanketed season, students from HIS get opportunities to enjoy winter activities, such as skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. It transcends mere physical exertion, it is an exquisite journey into nature's embrace, a challenge to oneself, and an exhilarating dance with speed and fervor. This snowy pursuit embodies the quintessence of velocity, skillfulness, and daring exploration. The students of HIS revel in gliding across the pristine snow. They have honed various skiing techniques including alpine skiing, snowboarding, and dual-boarding.
On the slopes, a lot of HIS students execute advanced jumps and spins with remarkable finesse, leaving behind S-shaped trails etched into the powdery surface. In those moments, these young athletes transformed into artists of nature itself—crafting their own wintry masterpieces with skis as brushes and snow as canvas.
Standing atop the mountain while gazing down upon an unblemished expanse of white evokes a profound sense of awe intertwined with exhilaration. Alpine skiing represents not only a courageous confrontation with nature but also an opportunity to transcend personal boundaries.
This winter season invites you to join HIS in embracing new challenges; let skiing become your way to explore uncharted territories while surpassing your limits. Students made unforgettable memories from the Kokusai Huskies' Winter days, and experienced the passion and freedom uniquely bestowed by winter!
