The month of March calls for a break, the spring break gives the students some time to relax and rewind while the winter turns into spring. This article explores what the glorious students of HIS will be doing during spring break.
HIS 2024 spring break

Ewan Keenan:
Firstly, our publication team interviewed Ewan Keenan
(9th Grader, Freshman). Ewan is from Taiwan and it's his second year of HIS. Here are some of his responses to our questions.
Q: What is one goal you have during the spring break?
A: I want to get better at playing bass.
Q: What are you going to do during the spring break?
A: I will go to Taiwan.
Q: How do you feel about the school year being almost over?
A: I hope I can have summer break soon.
Lastly, Ewan has given us one quote regarding the end of the school year.

George Wang:
George is a new student in 9th grade; he is from New Zealand.
During spring break, he has planned to go volcano boarding.
He’s also going to hike up Mount Everest. He told our reporter that:
“I’m excited to finally get a break after 5 days”
He is also considering learning more Japanese, to catch up to his Japanese class. George is also fond of the idea of building his own garden, so we are all excited to get free tomatoes from him. Playing sports, reading books, watching movies, and playing piano are also on his spring break to-do list.

Theodore Brennan:
Thirdly, Theodore Brennan (10th Grade, Sophomore) has also participated in our interview. His favorite subjects are math and science. Here are his responses to our questions.
Q: What is one goal you have during the spring break?
A: I want to finish all my homework and practice my saxophone and I will try to study for my AP mock exams.
Q: What are you going to do during the spring break?
A: Study, do homework, play sports and practice my saxophone.
Q: How do you feel about the school year being almost over?
A: Good because I can get a long summer break soon.

Alisa Stepanova:
Alisa is our last student in the article, she’s in 10th grade, and she is from Russia.
This spring break, she is traveling to South Korea with her mom. Her aunt currently resides in South Korea, so they are paying her a visit. Besides that, her main goal this spring break is to relax. After working hard in school, relaxing is for many students a necessity. Alisa is very happy about the school year being almost over, but she’s nervous about starting next year in 11th grade.

Conclusion
Overall, most students are looking forward to the two upcoming breaks; the spring and summer break. Hopefully, the students will have a great time exploring the beauty of Hokkaido during spring break.
