The Hokkaido International School Sports Banquet was an evening filled with celebration, good food, and recognition for the hardworking student-athletes. Held in the school’s Multi-Purpose Room (MPR) and gym, the event brought together players, coaches, and families for a night of appreciation.

The Feast
The evening began with a mouthwatering buffet dinner provided by Caesar’s Kitchen. The spread featured a build-your-own taco station with an array of toppings, allowing everyone to customize their meals. Laughter and conversations filled the room as students and coaches enjoyed the feast together. The dessert table was just as impressive, offering sweet treats and Arnouds apple pastries that left everyone satisfied.
Awards
After dinner, the celebration moved to the gym, where teams gathered to honor the season’s achievements. Coaches took turns giving speeches, praising their players for their dedication and teamwork throughout the season. The highlight of the night was the award ceremony, where each team in basketball, badminton, running club, and volleyball presented two special awards: the MVP and the Hustle Award. Cheers erupted as deserving players were recognized for their outstanding performance and relentless effort.
To Conclude
The Sports Banquet was more than just an awards night. It was a testament to the spirit of sportsmanship and community at HIS. As students left the gym with smiles and awards, it was clear that the bonds formed on and off the court would be cherished long after the season ended.
