Kindness is in the air!
December is always a special time for children. There’s excitement in the air because Winter Holidays are just around the corner and for some families, it means visiting family, exchanging presents, and taking a break from our fast-paced lives.
In EY, we use this excitement to help children go deeper into the concept of kindness with our Kindness Elves. The Elves appear in our classroom every year in December and deliver messages daily with kindness challenges. They hide in our classroom in different places and each morning the children look for them excited to see what the next message will be.
Today, December 13th, the children were invited to share their feelings and thoughts with others, because when we understand each other, it’s easier to be kind and find the right words to say. A few days ago, the Elves invited the children to give compliments to each other. Through these daily challenges, the children in the EY class are learning to communicate kindly with each other and learn what kindness looks, feels, and sounds like.
The EY class wishes everyone a very good holiday season!
